The Sunflower Cafe looks out over the garden centre's small lake
- during the day you can enjoy the fountains, admire the fish and
feed the ducks. In the evening the lake is lit so that it glows
fantastically from below - a sight you have to see!
The
cafe makes a delightful spot to stop and relax after you have
browsed through the plants, garden furniture and water features
on offer in the garden centre. But you don't have to be into gardening
to appreciate the range of home made cakes and freshly prepared
meals available. Where possible we use fresh herbs from the nursery
in our cooking, for extra flavour and freshness.
Home made soup and rolls and a range of freshly baked cakes
are on offer throughout the day. Between 12:30 and 2:30pm hot
meals are served - Sunday lunches are especially popular.
Or you can always just have a cup of tea - Earl Grey, Rosehip,
Summer Fruits, and good old PG Tips are all available. We also
serve a range of other hot and cold drinks, including freshly
ground coffee, and, in summer 'real' lemonade.
High chairs and child sized portions are available, and we have
a special family section where children are particularly welcome.
Special meals for children are available, including the popular
'egg, sausage n' teddies!', and of course a wide range of ice creams.
